St. Josephs Foundation is looking to help make living more affordable for residents at St. Josephs Home.
The foundation is raffling off a gas girl, propane tank, grilling utensils, and a patio set that includes two Rattan chairs and a side table as part of its annual springtime raffle.
Money raised from the raffle will help fund the long-term care services for residents-a core goal of the St. Josephs Foundation.
We raise money to help supplement the income of the home, as Medicare and Medicaid and state mandates increase Director of Development Joyce Kelso, said.
The Foundation also holds an annual golf ball drop and roast beef dinner.
Tickets can be purchased at the front desk reception area of the home, where the raffle items can also be viewed. Tickets are $2 each or 3 can be purchased for $5.
The drawing will be held May 15. Winners will be notified.
Located at 950 Linden St., St. Joseph offers residents a home-like atmosphere, with living rooms, walking paths, and vegetable and flower gardens close to family.
Families can come visit them any time, Mrs. Kelso said. The whole atmosphere is based around the residents needs.
