Hunters in the state harvested 243,567 deer in 2013, nearly the same as the 242,957 harvested in 2012, according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
The numbers were announced by the department Thursday.
The 2013 deer take included approximately 128,850 antlerless deer and about 114,700 adult bucks.
The states figures include 32,369 harvested in the states Northern Zone, up from the 30,843 harvested in 2012.
