Over the course of a week, several counterfeit $100 bills were passed at three locations in Jefferson County, state police said.

The fake bills were used in Evans Mills and West Carthage between April 18 and Thursday. In Evans Mills, police say they have been used at Pizza Hut, 27216 Patriot Place, and Walmart, 25737 Route 11. Community Bank, 84 Bridge St., West Carthage, was the third location.

Security footage shows one suspect who allegedly passed a counterfeit bill at Walmart.

All the $100 bills are marked series 2006 A and serial number KB51021093F.

State police in Watertown and Lowville are investigating the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to call state police at 782-2112.
