Lyons Falls man remains in critical condition after one-vehicle accident Saturday

LYONS FALLS — A nursing supervisor at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, reported that Eric M. Farr, 30, of 7574 Lyonsdale Road, remains in critical condition Sunday night after he suffered head injuries in a one-vehicle accident about 7 p.m. Saturday in the village.

Mr. Farr was driving his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado east on Laura Street when he lost control of the vehicle and left the north shoulder of the roadway, Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said. He then struck a tree with the driver’s side of the vehicle.

He was extricated from the vehicle by the Lyons Falls Fire Department using a hydraulic rescue tool. Mr. Farr was transported to Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, by Lyons Falls Ambulance before being transferred to Upstate Medical for further treatment.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, deputies said in a release. Deputies were assisted on the scene by state police and Unlimited Collision.
