BOMBAY State police on Sunday charged Calvin O. Thomas, 23, of Massena, with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Troopers said that about 1:40 a.m., during a routine traffic stop on Route 37 in the town of Bombay, Mr. Thomas had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent.
Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.
Mr. Thomas was also cited with inadequate license plate lamp, failure to signal a turn, unlicensed operation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
He was issued tickets for Bombay Town Court.
