CARTHAGE- Beverly Jean Shoen Beirman, 81, of 336 West Main Street in Watertown died on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home under the primary care of her daughter and her family and her niece for 9 days and hospice of Jefferson County. She was born on March 20, 1933 to Donald Alonzo and Fern Iona Busler Shoen in Watertown. She graduated from Watertown High School.

She married James William Beirman, Sr., the son of the late Glen and Velma Beirman on October 7, 1950 by Reverand Henry Bridge in the Great Bend Woolworth’s Memorial Methodist Church, the couple celebrated with renewal vows Saturday October 7, 2000 in Calvary Assembly of God with The Reverend Anthony P. Niger.

She is survived by four sons and one daughter; James William and his wife Judith Beirman, Natural Bridge; The former Mayor, Richard Alan and his wife Carol Beirman, Herrings; Donald Glen Beirman, Great Bend; Kevin Roy Beirman, Watertown; and a daughter, Linda Christine Beirman and her companion of 12 years, Stephen Denner, Watertown. She is also survived by a brother, Hector Ray and his wife Rose Shoen, of Milton, Florida. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great- grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren

She is predeceased by two sons, George G. Beirman in 1976 and William F. Beirman in 2013.

She worked for Samaritan Keep Home as a Nurse’s Aid. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Carthage; she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and doing crafts. She loved singing and playing the organand singing along with the “Gaithirs” “When the roll is called up Yonder.”She also enjoyed watching the Waltons, house of prairie, and doing crossword puzzles.

Calling hours will held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Calvary Assembly of God in Carthage located at 10 Martin Street Rd, Carthage, NY 13619 and a Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Felts Mills Cemetery.
