Clayton trio charged in fight

CLAYTON — State police said a couple and another man got into an argument earlier this month that resulted in the woman using a Taser against the other man.

Chris M. Gushlaw, 48, of 35572 Route 12, and Kevin T. and Pamela L. Burchill, ages 56 and 55, of 32096 Macomb Settlement Road, were arrested Sunday morning at the state police barracks in Pamelia and issued appearance tickets to Lyme Town Court for their alleged involvement in the fight.

Police said Mr. Gushlaw went to the Burchill’s residence and got into an argument with Mr. Burchill. The argument developed into a physical fight, police said, which led Mrs. Burchill to get involved.

In an apparent effort to stop the fight, Mrs. Burchill used a Taser on Mr. Gushlaw. It was unclear if any of the three suffered injuries.

Mr. Gushlaw was charged with third-degree assault and Mrs. Burchill was charged with attempted third-degree assault. Mr. Burchill was charged with aggravated second-degree harassment.
