Chaumont woman injured when car collides with cow

BROWNVILLE — State police said Candy M. Snyder, 51, of Chaumont, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment after her vehicle hit a cow Monday night.

The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on County Route 125 near Vanalstyne Road. Police said Ms. Snyder tried to avoid the animal in the roadway, but was unsuccessful. The status of the cow was not given.

No tickets were issued.
