HEUVELTON — Mike Martin struck out 10 and threw a one-hitter to lead the Heuvelton baseball team to a 7-1 victory over Edwards-Knox (1-2 overall and division) in a Northern Athletic Conference West Division game Friday.

Aiden Scagel, Ben Jacobs and Jordan Maculay drove in runs for Heuvelton (4-2, 4-1) in a five-run fifth inning.

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 10-4, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 2-2

Koby Munson threw a five-inning, no-hitter in the second game of an East Division doubleheader as the Flyers swept the Panthers (0-3) in Norwood.

Tristen Harvey and R.J. Bendt drove in two runs for the Flyers (3-1) in the opening game. Mike Burns singled twice for the Panthers.

CARTHAGE 5, LOWVILLE 4

Dylan Bass knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift Carthage past visiting Lowville to record its first Frontier League win of the season with an crossover victory.

Andrew Smith finished with three hits, including an RBI triple to tie the game in the 11th inning for the Comets (2-6, 1-5).

Tyler Clemons drove in one run on two hits for Carthage, while Ryan Pete finished 4-for-6, and Bailey James went 3-for-5.

Jordan Arthur smacked an RBI double, and Connor Fayle finished with two hits for Lowville (4-4).

IHC 9, SOUTH JEFFERSON 4

Jake Fusilli went 3-for-4, and his brother Jude drove in three runs on a double and a single to carry the Cavaliers to a crossover victory over the Spartans in Adams.

Miles Sexton and Josh Navarra each supplied two hits for Immaculate Heart Central (7-1, 4-0).

Robin Massey struck out three in two innings of relief for IHC in his first pitching appearance of the year because of early-season arm troubles.

Dylan Beckstead doubled and singled for South Jefferson (3-3).

INDIAN RIVER 5, GENERAL BROWN 1

Dylan Gonzalez fired a two-hitter, striking out 12 to pace the Warriors to an interdivisional victory in Philadelphia.

Gary Ruckman doubled twice and knocked in a run for Indian River (2-4), and William Eichner doubled in two runs.

Anthony DeMarco doubled in a run against General Brown (3-4).

SOFTBALL

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 13-15, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 3-10

Norwood-Norfolk tallied 28 runs to sweep Parishville-Hopkinton (1-4) in an East Division doubleheader in Parishville.

Courtney Harvey lined two hits and drove in two runs in the opener for the Flyers (5-1, 4-1), and Alisabeth Furnace also produced two hits. Brooke Beaudoin went 3-for-3 in game two, and Cortney Wagstaff lined two hits.

Marlee Wilson picked up two hits for the Panthers in the opener. Cassara Cole produced a three-hit game in game two, and Mary Coventry lined two hits.

BOYS LACROSSE

ST. LAWRENCE 12, SARANAC LAKE 8

Marshall Burninghausen scored six goals to lead the Larries past the Red Storm (1-3) in an NAC game in Saranac Lake.

Lukas Arquiett scored three goals, and Brody Simonds added two for the Larries (4-3). Nick Randall also scored for St. Lawrence.

Jeff Stevens scored five goals for the Red Storm. Carl Schulz, Kevin Duguay and Oliver Holmes also scored goals.

VESTAL 13, MASSENA 9

Pat Carlin and Jake Nelson each scored three goals for Vestal in a nonleague win over Massena at Vestal.

Zach Cook added two goals for the winners.

Nick Henrie scored three goals to lead the Red Raiders (5-3). Sako Rourke, Rhoades Tarbell, Ryan Thomas, Brendan Broderick, Hunter Pyke and Evan Kassian also scored goals.
