TRESPASSING - POTSDAM - Village police charged Anthony Caruso, 22, of Amherst and Adam G. Merkwan, 21, of Center Harbor, N.H., with trespassing at 1:07 a.m. Saturday on Sandstone Drive after responding to a report was received of subjects walking on the train trestle.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - POTSDAM - Village police charged Masoud Siddiqi, 24, of Potsdam and Travis D. Martinez, 21, of Fort Drum with disorderly conduct at 2:41 a.m. Saturday on Market Street after responding to a report of a fight.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Village police charged Kane W. Henderson, 23, of West Linn, Oregon, with petit larceny at 2:17 a.m. Saturday after he reportedly exited a Maple Street business without pauying for a 12-pack of beer.

OUTDOOR FIRE - POTSDAM - Village police charged Corey R. Herrington, 20, of Alexandria Bay with violating a village ordinance banning outdoor firs at 8:03 p.m. Saturday on Pierrepont Avenue. The state also currently has an outdoor burning ban in effect until May 15.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Village police charged Amanda M. Deloney, 27, of Hermon and Casey M. Whitcomb, 22, of Potsdam with petit larceny at 11:21 a.m. Saturday stemming from an investigation into an alleged shoplifting incident at Price Chopper that had previously been reported by store officials.

Police said after an investigation of an incident that was reported in late March, the two women were arrested for allegedly taking nine cans of Whip It and allegedly using them to try to get high off the propellant gases while in Price Chopper, 201 Market St.

Police said Whitcomb also took four cans of beer from the store.

0020 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Lawrence Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

0107 Patrols responded to a report of subjects on the train trestle. Tickets issued.

0217 Patrols responded to a report of an attempted larceny from a local business. Arrest made.

0232 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Garden Street. A verbal warning was issued.

0241 Patrols responded to reported fight at business on Market Street. Arrests made.

0515 Patrol requested a vehicle be towed from the Raymond Street lot for repeated violations of the overnight parking ordinance.

1450 Patrol responded to a fire alarm with the Potsdam Fire Department on Main Street.

1746 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2003 Patrols observed a violation of the Open Burning Ordinance on Pierrepont Avenue. Arrest made.

2356 Patrols responded to Backstreets for a subject that was refusing to leave,
