Fundraiser for Fort Drum spouse battling rare pregnancy cancer set today in Watertown

WATERTOWN — A charity spaghetti dinner will be held today in Watertown to benefit Jenna Hinman, the Fort Drum spouse who was diagnosed with a rare pregnancy cancer two months ago and remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

Mrs. Hinman, 26, was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma just after giving birth to two twin girls on March 3 and has been receiving chemotherapy treatment. Her twin girls, Kinleigh Anne and Azlynn Mary, who were born at just 30 weeks by emergency Cesarean section, have since been discharged from the Syracuse hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.

The dinner runs from noon to 6 p.m. at the Black River Valley Club, 131 Washington St. Dinner is $10; $6 for children. Takeout is available. Call the club at 788-2300 for more information.
