OGDENSBURG — The academic leaders for the class of 2014 at Ogdensburg Free Academy are Seth Tebo, valedictorian, and Nabiha Qudsi, salutatorian.

Mr. Tebo, son of John and Renee Tebo, Ogdensburg, has a grade point average of 97.94 and will graduate with an advanced Regents diploma with honors. He participated in the school track and cross-country teams and several clubs, including Mock Trial, Odyssey of the Mind and Key Club.

He is a member of the National Honor Society and the school’s music department, including jazz band, concert band, marching band, pep band, Area All-State Band for two years, All-County Band for three years and Lion’s Club Convention Band.

He participated in both ensemble and solo New York State School Music Association competitions and was chosen as an Academic All-Northern for four years. He attended the school’s Academic Recognition Ceremony for four years, where students must maintain an 88.5 GPA to attend.

Mr. Tebo will major in TV/radio, with a concentration in audio, at Ithaca College, where he has received a presidential scholarship of $18,000 per year.

Miss Qudsi, daughter of Dr. Naved and Fariha Qudsi, Ogdensburg, has a grade point average of 97.11 and will graduate with an advanced Regents diploma with honors and be eligible to receive a New York State Merit Award for Academic Excellence. She served on the Key Club board of directors for three years, was selected as district executive assistant during her senior year, lieutenant governor during her junior year and secretary during her sophomore year.

She is co-president of the Student Council and participated in Earth Club, Model U.N., Mock Trial and Odyssey of the Mind. Miss Qudsi was inducted into the National Honor Society and has attended the Academic Banquet for high achieving students for four years.

She participated on the volleyball team for four years and represented the school in concert, jazz and pep bands.

Miss Qudsi will major in industrial and labor relations at Cornell University, Ithaca.
