■ Police ticketed Ian J. Roddy, 24, of 306 Jay Street, at 10:51 p.m. Friday for owning an unlicensed dog issued an appearance ticket.

n Police ticketed Andrew J. Guimond, 18, 7812 State Highway 68, at 3:54 p.m. Friday on the 800 Block of Main Street for speeding in a speed zone.

n Ogdensburg police arrested Danny Patrick Whitcomb, 41, of 7180 State Highway 68, on a city court arrest warrant at 9:06 a.m. Thursday for third-degree assault. On May 10, 2013, police said Mr. Whitcombe assaulted Bryan J. Pratt in the Ogdensburg Bowling Alley, 1121 Paterson St., and parking lot. Mr. Whitcombe allegedly grabbed Mr. Pratt by the shirt and hit him multiple times in and around the head and face. Mr. Pratt said he received treatment for multiple head and neck bruises at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, according to court documents. Mr. Whitcomb was arraigned by Judge Gary R. Alford and released on his own recognizance. He will reappear in court on May 20 with a public defender.

n Police arrested Matthew J. Hough, 40, of 414 Rensselaer Avenue, at 11:23 Thursday at 721 New York Avenue on a city court warrant for petit larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor. Mr. Hough allegedly stole over $57 worth of meat from Price Chopper, 2981 Ford Street Extension, on two separate occasions. On March 11, employee said he took three packages of CAB steaks and slipped them under his coat and made no attempt to pay for them. A similar incident occurred on March 15, in which Mr. Hough allegedly stole two packages of CAB steaks and one package of corned beef. Employees said the thefts were caught on the store’s security camera. Mr. Hough was arraigned and released under the supervision of probation. He will appear in court May 13 with a public defender.

n Police ticketed Douglas T. Pike, 28, of 631 Irish Settlement Road, at 11:57 p.m. Thursday on the corner of State and Canton streets for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and for driving a vehicle with no plate lamp.

n Police charged Steven A. Montroy, 26, of 181 McIlwee Road, Heuvelton, at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Ogden Street for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Mr. Montroy was also ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign.

n Police ticketed Donald G. Strader, 66, of 15 McDonald Road, at 6:29 p.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of Linden Street for speeding.

n Police ticketed Dalton M. LaFlair, 18, of 5475 Route 37, at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday on the 1800 Block of Ford Street for an inadequate exhaust.

n Police ticketed Emily A. Bouchard, 19, of 521 Elizabeth St., at 10:21 p.m. Wednesday outside Morissette Park for speed not reasonable or prudent.
