MALONE State corrections officers at Bare Hill Correctional Facility found more than two dozen make-shift weapons as well as illegal drugs in inmate dorms last month, according to a news release.
Officers said a large scale fight on April 21 at the medium-security correctional facility prompted an 11-hour search or seven housing dorms.
Ice pick type weapons, sharpened tin can lids, cutting instruments, a pad lock wrapped inside a sock and a sharpened wooden peg were among the weapons found.
Heroin, synthetic marijuana and suboxone also were discovered during the search, they said.
Officers said 13 inmates were placed in the facilitys special housing unit after the incident and face internal disciplinary measures.
