PULASKI — State police are asking for information regarding an incident Thursday night in which a man allegedly tried to grab a child.

Police said the man, described as 5 feet 11, white, clean shaven, overweight and wearing a black jump suit and knit hat, was driving along County Route 17 in the town of Constantia between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The man approached the child from his black four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows and attempted to grab the child by his clothing, police said.

The child was able to run away to a neighboring residence.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call state police in Pulaski at 298-1470.
