Morristown Central School class leaders


MORRISTOWN — The academic leaders for the class of 2014 at Morristown Central School are Bailey Holmes, valedictorian, and Kiernan Hughes, salutatorian.

Miss Holmes, daughter of Herbert and Cynthia Holmes, Morristown, has an academic average of 96. She is class president and president of the National Honor Society.

She received the Rochester Institute of Technology Award and SUNY Potsdam Freshman Scholarship. Miss Holmes will major in music business at Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.

Miss Hughes, daughter of Dustin and Christina Denesha, Morristown, has an academic average of 94.33. She will receive criminal justice certification from Northwest Tech Board of Cooperative Education Services.

Miss Hughes completed an internship with R.B. Lawrence and in addition to her academics, is a part-time receptionist at United Helpers Riverledge, Ogdensburg.

She will study pre-medicine at St. Lawrence University, Canton.
