WATERTOWN A 10-year-old who struck a vehicle while biking Sunday was transported to Samaritan Medical Center as a precaution, but otherwise uninjured.
City police said Jillian Korenini was traveling by bicycle on N. Indiana Ave. at about 11 a.m. when she passed the Huntington Street intersection and rolled into a slowly moving vehicle belonging to Brent Herne.
She was transported to the hospital due to her age and the fact that she was not wearing a helmet, but no injuries were reported.
She was cycling with family friends when the incident occurred.
The city fire department and a Guilfoyle Ambulance squad also responded to the scene.
