FORT DRUM — James W. Corriveau, the head of public works at Fort Drum, received the Army’s Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service award Monday in a ceremony at the Pentagon.

According to a listing from Fort Drum, Mr. Corriveau, who has worked at the post for about 40 years, was nominated for the award because of his work from 2002 to 2013, a period during which the post experienced massive growth.

The award is the top honor for Army civilian workers. He was presented the award by Brad Carson, undersecretary of the Army.
