Motorists charged with DWI and related offenses

The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Travis L. Wells, 33, of 545 Alexandria St., Clayton, was charged by state police at 2:43 a.m. Sunday with aggravated DWI and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.21 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication. A charge of aggravated DWI is lodged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

n Rhonda A. Slate, 48, town of Alexandria, was charged by state police on Thursday with felony DWI.

Troopers said at 12:35 p.m. on Route 58 in Morristown Ms. Slate was stopped by a U.S. Border Patrol agent. Troopers said they smelled alcohol when they approached the vehicle and a breath test showed her BAC to be 0.10 percent.

Ms. Slate had a previous DWI conviction in 2004, troopers said, making the charge a felony.

n Ryan M. Finley, 26, Ogdensburg, was charged by state police on Saturday.

Troopers said that at about 2:30 a.m. on Greene Street in the city of Ogdensburg, Mr. Finley swerved into oncoming traffic. He had a BAC of 0.09 percent, they said.

He also was ticketed for failure to keep right and improper speed in zone.

n Alexander D. Rice, 20, of 22653 Lewis St., was charged by state police at 1:56 a.m. Sunday on West Main Street in the city of Watertown. His BAC was listed as 0.12 percent.

n Donovan P. Fraser, 36, of 413 Budd St., Carthage, was charged by state police at 10:45 p.m. Saturday on Route 126 in the town of Croghan. His BAC was not listed.

n Richard A. Nau, 57, of 270 Auderkirk Road, Pulaski, was charged by state police at 10:07 p.m. Saturday on Route 3 in the town of Richland. His BAC was not listed.
