Williamstown couple arrested after Sunday morning fight

WILLIAMSTOWN — A Williamstown couple was arrested early Sunday after police said the man smashed her car window and she struck him with a rock and damaged his vehicle.

Police said Paige M. Coe, 29, of 85 Cramer Lane, drove up to the residence and soon a confrontation erupted between her and her husband, Lynn D. Coe, 33, same address.

Mrs. Coe grabbed a rock and struck her husband, police said. She also was charged with striking with her hands the hood of the vehicle Mr. Coe was driving, his mother’s, causing more than $250 in damage. Police said Mr. Coe was putting his son in the vehicle at the time.

Mr. Coe was accused of smashing his wife’s car’s window, causing $50 in damage. The alleged criminal mischief also violated an order of protection Mrs. Coe held against him.

Police said Mrs. Coe had in her car one gram of cocaine; two grams of MDMA, or Ecstasy; seven dextroamphetamine pills, a Schedule II controlled substance, and a small amount of marijuana at the time of the incident.

She was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

She also was charged with second-degree menacing, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors, and two violations, second-degree harassment and unlawful marijuana possession.

Mr. Coe was arraigned in Amboy Town Court and sent to the Oswego County jail, Oswego, on $1,000 cash bail. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal contempt.

Information on his arraignment was not available.
