Pamelia crash victims identified


WATERTOWN—A man and a woman involved in a Monday accident on Route 342 in the town of Pamelia have been identified.

State police said Timothy J. Ritter, 40, of 24354 Plank Road, Calcium, was driving a white Chrysler Sebring shortly after 9 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Allen Drive when he hit the rear of a Ford pickup truck driven by Sherry L. Larkin, 40, of 216 S. Broad St., Sackets Harbor.

Mr. Ritter suffered leg and hip injuries and was taken to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, by a LifeNet helicopter. He was listed in fair condition as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Ms. Larkin complained of head pain and taken to Samaritan Medical Center via Guilfoyle Ambulance.

He was cited with following too closely.

Route 342 was closed to traffic between Route 37 and Allen Drive for about an hour after the accident.
