Tickets go on sale today for Rock for the River 11, which is slated for Saturday, July 5, at the Clayton Opera House.

Rock for the River concerts were developed by former Thousand Islands resident and musician Jay Nash, who now lives in Vermont. Each year he brings together musical associates from the folk and alternative-music scene as well as local musicians at the Clayton fundraiser to help out the environmental advocacy group Save the River.

Returning musicians include Joe Purdy, Garrison Star and Eliza Moore.

Pre-sale tickets are $35 for Save the River members and $40 for non-members. Tickets at the door are $40 for Save the River members and $45 for non-members.

Tickets are available at the Clayton Opera House, 405 Riverside Drive, or by calling its box office at 686-2200.

All ticket proceeds support Save the River’s advocacy, education and research programs.
