Potsdam girls net non-league lax win over Indian River

POTSDAM - The Potsdam Central varsity girls lacrosse team netted a 9-6 non-league win at home over Indian River on Wednesday.

Anette Rishe scored five goals and helped set up two others to spark the Lady Sandstoners. Kalie Grant added three goals while Kiona Loran netted a singleton.

Sarah Mattingly and Kelsi Nabywaniec connected for two goals apiece in the losing effort. Sidney Black and Bryanne LaFave accounted for the other goals.

Katelyn Bloom made 10 saves backstopping the win while Rebecca Monica turned aside six shots for Indian River.

Now 11-3 overall and 10-2 in the NAC, the Lady Sandstoners are slated to play at Salmon River this afternoon starting at 4:30 p.m.

A pair of NAC girls lacrosse games played on Wednesday saw Massena outscore Heuvelton 14-9 and Canton beat OFA 15-4 while the lone NAC boys lacrosse matchup saw Saranac Lake outlast OFA 5-4.
