Ranger School’s 100th commencement is Saturday

WANAKENA — The Ranger School, a division of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, will graduate 57 students at its 100th commencement at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clifton-Fine Central School auditorium, Star Lake.

Twenty-two students will receive an Associate in Applied Science degree in forest technology, 13 students will receive an AAS in land surveying technology and 22 students will receive an AAS in environmental and natural resources conservation.

Commencement speakers are Michael R. Bridgen, Ranger School director; Bruce C. Bongarten, provost, and Quentin D. Wheeler, president of ESF.

Graduates include five north country residents: Jonathan Demler, Wanakena; Brandon Pierce, Redwood; Jason Ripley, Harrisville; Zach Scordo, Watertown, and Anthony Thompson, Carthage.
