Overturned tractor trailer in Stockholm diverts traffic Wednesday

STOCKHOLM — State police closed down Route 11C Wednesday because of a rolled-over tractor-trailer.

Troopers reported that at 4:20 p.m. William H. Eubanks Jr., 34, of Jonesboro, Ill., was heading west on Route 11C when he drove off the road in an attempt to avoid a school bus from St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls, that was slowing down in front of him. The tractor-trailer overturned after it left the road.

Mr. Eubanks’s 2012 Volvo tractor was hauling a trailer owned by Advance Transport, Advance, Mo.

Troopers said they shut the road down until approximately 11:30 p.m. while attempting to remove the tractor-trailer. Traffic was rerouted between Route 11C and Route 420.

Mr. Eubanks was not injured. He was ticketed with moving from lane unsafely, troopers said.
