Jody LaLone resigns as president of Car-Freshner

WATERTOWN — Jody R.A. LaLone has tendered her resignation as president of Car-Freshner Corp., the company announced Friday.

Mrs. LaLone, who worked at Car-Freshner for 25 years, decided to leave the company and move to Albany for family reasons, according to a brief statement released by the company. Her final day will be June 9 at the company, at Jefferson County Corporate Park off outer Coffeen Street in the town of Watertown. “We regretfully understand her decision,” the statement reads. “She’ll be missed, but has agreed to stay on as a director. The rest of the management team is ready to continue Jody’s dedication to quality, innovation and customer service.”

Mrs. LaLone, who served as president for about 12 years, could not be reached Friday for comment.

In 2009, she was nominated by the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce to receive its Athena Award.
