After reading the article in the paper on April 27, “Potsdam Awash in Rainbows,” written by staff writer Katie Anderson, I would like to make one correction. She quotes the Rev. Laurena M. Will as saying God’s love is unconditional and for everyone, and she is 100 percent correct.

However, she goes on to say, “Scripture is silent on homosexuality.” The book of Leviticus is pretty hard on a man who lies with another man, Chapter 18. That was under the old covenant. In the New Testament, St. Paul writes to the church of Rome concerning a man who lies with another man in Chapter 1:23-32. The homosexual is the same as the drunkard, the liar, the thief, etc., because the scripture says that God loved us while we were sinners. However, if we die in these sins, there is a judgment to come.
