High school roundup: 12-goal run lifts Massena

CANTON — The Massena boys lacrosse team scored 12 straight goals at one point and went on to defeat Canton 16-7 in a Northern Athletic Conference game Wednesday at SUNY Canton.

Kendrick Angus led the Red Raiders (10-5 overall, 10-3 division) with six goals. Evan Kassian and Ryan Thomas both scored three goals, and Sako Rourke added two. Nick Henrie and Rhoades Tarbell also scored.

Peyton VanBibber led Canton (10-4, 10-2) with a three-goal effort. Cody Moor scored two goals and Josh Huiatt, Tanner Sanderson and Garrett Glasgow also scored.

OFA 9, ST. LAWRENCE 8 (2 OT)

Austin Morley-Sloan scored in the second overtime period to send the Blue Devils (6-7) past the Larries in Brasher Falls.

It was the fourth goal of the contest for Morley-Sloan. Andrew Roddy added three goals and Taylor Richardson and Andrew Putman also scored for OFA.

Lukas Arquiett, Brody Simonds, Marshall Burninghausen and Styles Arquiett each scored two goals for the Larries (6-8).

SALMON RIVER 21, SARANAC LAKE 4

Four goals from Trenton Tarbell helped the Shamrocks (13-0, 12-0) past the Red Storm in Saranac Lake.

Frank David and Dalton Roundpoint each scored three goals for Salmon River. Skkylar Thomas, Bryton Burns, Karonhiate Lazore and Cash Mitchell each scored twice, and Chad George and Myles Delormier added single goals.

Oliver Holmes led the Red Storm (3-9) with three goals.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MASSENA 13, CANTON 8

Mimi Lazore tallied four goals to lift the Red Raiders (11-4, 10-1) at SUNY Canton,.

Jacelyn Lazore scored three goals and Shannon Casey produced two.

Tess Knight scored four goals to lead Canton (8-4).

HEUVELTON 13, OFA 8

Olivia St. Pierre, Jackie Sovie and Corin Sherwood each scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs (8-8, 7-5) in Ogdensburg. Maddie St. Pierre and Kylie Piercey both scored twice.

Sky Hoover led OFA (5-10, 4-8) with three goals.
