LAFARGEVILLE — Matt Valin threw his first perfect game to lead host LaFargeville to a 3-0 victory over Lyme in a Frontier League “D” Division baseball game Saturday.

The Red Knights then beat the Indians, 8-2, to sweep the doubleheader.

Valin, a junior lefty in his third varsity season, struck out 15 batters. He also went 2-for-4 with a double in the game one victory.

In the second game, Kelly Ryan struck out nine in a complete game four-hitter to help the Red Knights improve to 5-7.

Lyme dropped to 0-13.

SACKETS HARBOR 9, COPENHAGEN 2

Ryan Allen drove in three runs with a double and a single, and limited the Golden Knights to two runs on five hits in a complete game to power the Patriots to the “D” Division win in Copenhagen.

Josh Keruski supplied three RBIs on two singles for Sackets Harbor (8-4).

Caleb Hatch doubled for Copenhagen (4-6).

GENERAL BROWN 12, CARTHAGE 4

Dylan Daughan delivered a 4-for-5 performance with a triple, two doubles and three RBIs as the Lions beat the host Comets in a crossover game.

Derek Weaver struck out five in a four-hit complete game for General Brown (5-10). Mark Corey drove in two runs on three singles, while Ryan Snow and Sean Shepard provided two hits apiece for the Lions.

Andrew Smith tripled and knocked in three runs for Carthage (3-11, 2-9).

SOUTH LEWIS 20, ALEXANDRIA 5

Jason Martin went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs as the Falcons claimed a crossover win over the Purple Ghosts in Turin.

Shawn Loomis hit a home run and drove in four runs, while Lucas Kelly and Cody Capron contributed two hits apiece for South Lewis (12-1).

Cody Hunter doubled and singled for Alexandria (4-8).

LISBON 14-12, HERMON-DEKALB 2-2

Jake Pellerin went a combined 5-for-7 with a triple to lead the Golden Knights to a Northern Athletic Conference West doubleheader sweep over the Demons (0-10) at Lisbon.

In the first game, Logan Matthews and Reilly Alberto each provided two hits for Lisbon (6-5).

Joey Pellerin went 3-for-3, and Alex Arduin doubled and singled in the second game for the Golden Knights.

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 16-10, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 2-3

Adam Martin doubled and tripled in game one, then struck out six in a complete game victory to power Brushton-Moira to an NAC East doubleheader sweep over Parishville-Hopkinton (4-7) in Brushton.

Trent Gary struck out seven to pick up the game one victory, and Jacob St. Mary provided three RBIs with a home run and a single in game two for Brushton-Moira (10-1).
