CLAYTON The towns of Clayton, Orleans and Lyme have set a public meeting to discuss the future of the Chaumont River corridor.
Residents of the hamlets of Depauville and LaFargeville and the village of Chaumont are encouraged to attend and share their vision for the corridor. The towns are developing a comprehensive regional strategy for the corridors revitalization from LaFargeville to Chaumont Bay.
The meeting will include information on the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, a presentation of a map of the region and an opportunity to meet the committee. Residents will be asked to comment on how the corridors waterfront should be developed and preserved, and to give their views on public access and recreation, resource protection and economic development.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Clayton Opera House, 405 Riverside Drive. For more information about the waterfront plan, visit www.townofclayton.com.
