Lillian Marie Lasher, age 80, of Canton, NY passed away unexpectedly in Burlington, VT on Saturday, May 17, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam NY. Calling hours will be from 1 to 4 pm with services by Pastor John Kashorek, Hospice Chaplin, immediately to follow.

Surviving are her children: Leonard N. Lasher of Massena, Elizabeth L. and Marc Roy of Norfolk, Edith L. and Richard Martin of Rensselaer Falls; Grandchildren: Tasha Newcombe, Lillian Roy, Hanna Roy, Cecile Roy, Ricky Martin 111, Lisa Durham, James Lasher, Angel Lasher and special great-grandson: Brayden Foote, and several other great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, James Leonard Lasher and 8 siblings.

Lillian Marie Lasher was born on April 10, 1934 in Gouverneur, a daughter of the late Arthur N. and Ida (Sweeney) Greenwood. Lillian worked 3 years in the Army Air Force Exchange and 27 years at St. Lawrence University food service. Lillian married James Lasher on November 27, 1952 in Potsdam NY. James passed on November 24, 2004.

If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, 6805 US Highway 11, Potsdam, or to the Potsdam Humane Society, 17 Madrid Ave., Potsdam, NY 13676.

Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
