WATERTOWN — A Watertown man was charged with throwing a sugary drink on the walls, couch and other furniture of his shared residence, causing permanent stain damage, city police said.

Ryan A. Barbosa, 19, of 252 Moulton St., allegedly threw the sugary beverage inside the residence he shares with Angela R. Fravel at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said he caused permanent stain damage to the couch and two lamp shades.

He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, arraigned in City Court and held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 bail.
