Marilyn Janette Chisholm, 78, formerly of Watertown and widow of Roderick G. Chisholm, passed away Tuesday, May 20th at the Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carthage, where she had resided for the past year.
There will be no services. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Office of the Aging to help support the many programs offered to families, or to a charity of ones choosing. Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
Marilyn was born in Watertown, January 5, 1936, a daughter to George and Isabel Anthony McIntyre. She was a graduate of the Watertown School District. Marilyn married Roderick G. Chisholm, November 19, 1955 in Dexter. Mr. Chisholm, a retired electrician with IBEW 910, passed away November 10, 1996.
Marilyn was a supervisor for the home decor company, The House of Lloyd, for many years until her retirement. A resident of Watertown her entire life, Marilyn spent summers at her cottage on Wellesley Island and eleven winters in St. James City, FL.
She was a former member of the American Legion and VFW. She enjoyed karaoke and dancing.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Randy Gillette, Watertown; her grandson Randolph Chisholm Gillette, Watertown. Her sister-in-law, Maureen Glasier, Derry, NH; one niece and 3 nephews; cousins Sanford and Rosemary Harwood and Joseph and Barbara Harwood, all of Watertown. She was predeceased by her husband and a brother John Glasier.
