GLEN PARK — Katie Pitkin tossed a pair of complete-game shutouts, including a no-hitter in the second game, to help General Brown clinch the Frontier League “B” Division with two softball wins over Lowville on Tuesday. General Brown won the first game 1-0 and the second 12-0.

Pitkin struck out nine and allowed just one hit in the first game. She also finished 3-for-3 with a double and drove in the winning run.

In game two, Rhea Pitkin went 3-for-3 with two doubles, and Kayla Gaffney drove in one run on two hits, including a triple. Chelsea VanTassel supplied one hit, two sacrifice flies and four RBIs, and Deleha Decker finished with three hits for General Brown (15-1).

Lowville is 7-9.

BEAVER RIVER 9, LAFARGEVILLE 4

Mariah Abel went 4-for-4 with two RBIs as the Beavers topped the Red Knights for a crossover win at Croghan.

Kristen Ebersol collected two hits, including a triple, for Beaver River (7-9, 6-9).

Julia Desormeau went 2-for-4 with an RBI for LaFargeville (9-6, 8-5).

LAFARGEVILLE 4, LYME 0

Senior Amber Klock recorded her 400th career strikeout for the Red Knights during a five-inning “D” Division victory at Chaumont.

Klock pitched a complete-game one-hitter, striking out eight.

Allison Hoover finished 3-for-3, while Lacey Black drove in two runs on one hit. Mackenzie Hilts supplied an RBI single, and Julia Desormeau smacked a double for LaFargeville (10-6, 9-5).

Lyme is 5-9.

ALEXANDRIA 3-10, COPENHAGEN 2-6

Molly Aznoe won both ends of a “D” Division doubleheader and clubbed a two-run home run in the seventh inning of game two as the Purple Ghosts swept the Golden Knights in Alexandria Bay.

Lorraine Beard added a solo homer in the second game, while Jennie Spooner supplied an RBI single to win game one for Alexandria (8-6, 8-5).

Maci Spaulding hit a game-tying solo home run in the sixth in game two for Copenhagen (12-4, 10-4).
