CARTHAGE — Carthage senior goalie Rebecca Abbott will sign today to attend the University of Pikeville to play women’s lacrosse.

Located in Kentucky, Pikeville competes in lacrosse in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Abbott has made 96 saves so far this season, compiling a save percentage of 72.7 and has helped lead the Comets (12-5) to a semifinal game in Section 3’s Class B tournament, where they’ll face Frontier League foe Watertown at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Chittenango.

Abbott made eight saves in Carthage’s 14-8 victory over Oswego in a first-round game on Tuesday.
