WATERTOWN — City police arrested Justin B. White, 27, of 2441 Main St., Felts Mills, after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend to the ground, punched her in the head and prevented her from leaving.

He also was charged with breaking her $600 laptop computer after he threw it across the room, police said.

At about 5 a.m. Sunday at the residence of Kylee J. McKnight, 130 Court St., Apt. 303, Mr. White got on top of Ms. McKnight and punched her twice in the head, causing abrasions to the left side of her head, police said. He physically prevented her from getting up for about 15 seconds, police said.

He was arrested at 12:39 a.m. Monday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in City Court and sent back to the jail on $1,500 cash bail.
