WATERTOWN Bail was set at $150,000 Tuesday in Jefferson County Court for a city woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death last June.
Breanna L. Simpson, 32, entered not guilty pleas at arraignment to counts of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment handed up Thursday.
It is alleged that she stabbed her live-in boyfriend, Henry J. Perkins Jr., 34, in the torso during a June 23 argument at their J.B. Wise Place apartment. Mr. Perkins died instantly.
Simpson is being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
