WATERTOWN City police charged Koran J. Turner, 27, of 206 Franklin St., Apt. 203, with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest at 1:18 p.m. Thursday at 504 Mill St.
He is accused of possessing 16.5 grams of crack cocaine and fleeing from a traffic stop on foot.
Local checks revealed a probation warrant, a bench warrant issued out of the town of LeRay and a Jefferson County indictment warrant. Mr. Turner was turned over to the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force.
As of Friday afternoon he was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $1,000 bail.
