Police: Adams Center man took Xbox from apartment in the city

WATERTOWN — City police charged Cori M. Reff, 19, of 13663 Route 11, Adams Center, with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building in an incident that allegedly occurred on May 14 at 229 W. Main St.

Mr. Reff is accused of breaking into the residence and taking an Xbox 360 game console, a rechargeable controller from the Xbox, a charger cord and two games, all worth an estimated $300.

Mr. Reff was arrested by state police May 22 on charges of felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing an ATV from a Dexter residence.

Police said that information and a complaint about the burglary led them to look for Mr. Reff at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where he was being held on the previous charges.

He was processed and released back to the custody of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to await arraignment in City Court.
