Potsdam woman charged with felony burglary

POTSDAM ­­­— Village police on Sunday charged Rebecca L. Kelly, 38, with felony second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, and two counts of second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct, both violations.

Police said that at 8:34 p.m. at 150 Market St., Ms. Kelly damaged a window screen and entered the apartment through the window and attacked the resident, striking her multiple times. Police further said that while they were taking Ms. Kelly into custody, she resisted arrest and kicked a patrolman.

Police did not release the name of the alleged victim.

Ms. Kelly was arraigned in Village Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, where she was being held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
