WATERTOWN — The American Heart Association recognized several people Wednesday for their efforts in saving lives, promoting heart health and for various volunteer efforts.
Dave Foster received the nonprofit’s Lifestyle Change Award, which was sponsored by Timeless Frames, because he lost more than 100 pounds and about 46 total inches. That helped lower both his blood pressure and cholesterol, and he now exercises more than seven hours per week and eats more healthy foods.
Dawn Robinson received the Friend of Heart Award because she volunteers her time at the agency’s annual North Country Heart Walk, where she also serves as a team captain.
Heartsaver Hero Awards were also given to Steve Moffett, Scott Ruehle, William Backus, Ashley Nacklick, and Theresa Leeson because in March they helped save teenager Jack valentine who collapsed during a high school basketball game.
