Police said Jennifer K. Markin, 36, of 222 South Meadow St., Apt. 3, improperly obtained $2,115 in food stamps by failing to report pay from Stream Inc. and stating she was not employed in official paperwork.

She also was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, offering a false instrument for filing and misuse of food stamps at her residence at 1:41 a.m. Tuesday.

Ms. Markin was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending an appearance in City Court.
