CARTHAGE — Village police charged a Canastota man after he allegedly broke into the Elks Club, 511 Fulton St.

Police said they arrived at the scene to find a broken window and found Robert R. Hall Jr., 43, inside the business.

Charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny at 3:38 a.m. Wednesday, Mr. Hall was arraigned in Village Court and held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
