Quintilliani dies from injuries suffered in workplace accident at Sears

MASSENA - Joshua Quintilliani, the 35-year-old man injured in a workplace accident at Sears on Saturday has died.

According to a spokesperson from Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. Mr. Quintilliani passed away Wednesday night. A release from New York State police said the death occurred at approximately 11 p.m.

Mr. Quintilliani, of Waddington was injured at approximately 6:40 p.m. Saturday while working in the store’s warehouse.

According to state police, he was reorganizing storage racks in the warehouse when the racks collapsed and he was pinned underneath. Police said the racks held assorted plywood, glass and metal materials.

State police said an autopsy will be held later today. Troopers also noted their investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
