THERESA — A village resident injured when she was thrown from a horse on Saturday remains in a Syracuse hospital.
Patty A. Forbes, 47, of County Route 46, was rushed on Saturday night by a LifeNet helicopter to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, where she was in fair condition on Sunday night.
Mrs. Forbes was riding north along the roadway, also known as Dutch Settlement Road, with her daughter, Mikaylee R. Gamble, at 7:16 p.m. as they returned from dropping off a donkey with their friend. At that time, a group of about 15 motorcycles passed by in the opposite direction. The noise from the motorcycles startled Mrs. Forbes’s horse, Tanner, which she has owned for more than a decade.
Mrs. Forbes suffered unspecified injuries in the fall, which also aggravated her lupus and other medical ailments.
