Aldridge, 25, of Gouverneur, was charged by state police at 8:31 a.m. Saturday in the town of Gouverneur with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, both felonies. He was arraigned and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $3,000 cash bail.

Phillip T. Merritt, 30, of Antwerp, was charged by state police at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 110 Main St., Antwerp, with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and first-degree offering a false instrument, all felonies.
