AKWESASNE — Carey Terrance’s pass of Watertown’s Billy Dunn on a restart helped him hang on to win the 358-modified feature race Friday at Mohawk International Raceway.
Terrance made his move on the outside to get by Dunn after a lap-11 crash forced a caution. Chris Raabe, Gage Morin and Danny O’Brien rounded out the top five.
Other winners were Corey Wheeler (sportsman), Matheiu Bourgoin (lightning sprints) and Matt Zira (bandit).
VAN BROCKLIN FIRST AT CAN-AM
Josh Van Brocklin took the lead on lap 18 to win the sportsman race Friday at Chapman’s Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville, which saw two makeup races in the pro street and enduro divisions from previous rainouts.
Van Brocklin and Jack Meeks battled it out for most of the 25-lap race before Van Brocklin took the victory. Meeks, Luke Whittaker, Anthony Stockman and Taylor Caprara filled out the top five.
Other winners were Robert Martin and David Rogers (pro street), Mike Durham (enduro), Charlie Sandercock (late models), Ray Bechler (thunder cars), Nick Trapp (thunder stock) and Riley Gill (novice sportsman).
