Police seeking information on hit & run accident in Stockholm

WINTHROP - Massena-based state Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Friday in the town of Stockholm.

A tractor trailer traveling northeast on Pickle Street struck a low hanging utility wire. The wire got stuck on the tractor trailer, and the vehicle subsequently pulled down utility and power lines, snapping two poles and causing damage to a home where the line was ripped out.

Area interviews revealed that it was possibly a red tractor pulling a long, white box trailer. The male operator stopped to untangle the wires on his tractor, then left in a northeast direction on Pickle Street.

If anyone has information regarding this investigation, they are asked to call Trooper Jonathan White at SP Massena: (315) 379-0012.
