BROWNVILLE – The FC Freeze U16 soccer team posted two wins in a span of three days to improve their record to 5-1 and remain tied atop of the Northern New York Youth Soccer League with a 5-0 win over General Brown Soccer Club on Monday and a 8-1 triumph over Thousand Island Soccer Club on Saturday.
In Monday night’s win, Ogdensburg’s Peyton Lalone and Madrid-Waddington’s Tyler Robinson each scored two goals and passed out one assist with Potdam’s Matt Stone finishing off a corner kick from Colton-Pierrepont’s Ethan Knight to account for the offense. Lisbon’s Nick Spooner collected eight saves in the crease with Colton-Pierrepont’s Riley Doyle anchoring the defensive end.
In Saturday’s 8-1 victory over TISC, Lalone tallied a three goal hat trick with Robinson contributing one goal and one assist to pace the offense. Parishville-Hopkinton’s Lucas Snell and Garret Hayes each added a solo marker as did Lisbon’s Koby Jordan and Doyle. Lisbon’s Riley Alberto, Malone’s Ian Mahoney and Ogdensburg’s Noah Moore recorded assists.
Spooner stopped four shots in the crease.
