Evans Mills woman charged with possession of stolen property

EVANS MILLS — Chryssaundra L. Harrison, 38, of 28362 Cardinal Lane, was charged by state police at 3:55 p.m. Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property after allegedly stealing DVDs, a tablet and a DVD player from a woman who lives at the same address.

Police could not disclose whether Ms. Harrison is a roommate of the victim, Brittany Birdwell, or whether they live in separate apartments in the same building. Ms. Birdwell reported the stolen merchandise to police after she found her DVDs and other items listed for sale at the Pawn King, 26457 Johnson Road. The merchandise was stolen from July 19 to 25 at the Cardinal Lane residence, police said.

Ms. Harrison was released with an appearance ticket for LeRay Town Court.
